NARS REVAMPS THEIR GLOSSES

...and they're even more amazing than ever before! Who else remembers the days of a smokey eye and a slick of Nars Turkish Delight on the lips a la Kim Kardashian? I remember Nars as some of the very first high-end lipglosses that I owned and loved using. Every time I got my hands on some birthday or babysitting money, a mall trip was in order so I could add a few glosses to my collection. The only issue I ever remember having with the Nars glosses was the slightly paint-like scent that they had. Well, guess what? Nars revamped their gloss line and although they kept some of their cult classic shades, they have added some punchier and bolder options to the range, all sans funky scent.

I can't express enough how much I love the new glosses, they are a bit more moisturizing with higher pigmentation, and leave a slight stain after wearing away. I have been testing two shades from the range that are new, and loving both of them. The first is Nars Lipgloss in Salamanca*, a perfect coral flamingo pink that washes over sheer and can be built up to be more intense and bold. I love this color worn sheer right now but can see it being even more amazing  layered on and paired with a tan and bronzed lid. The second shade I got my hands on was Nars Lipgloss in Sixties Fan*, a wine-pomegranite shade that can look more fruity and sheer swiped once, or deeper and richer if you use a heavier hand. Both of these have no scent and are super hydrating and pigmented, making them nice options to have with you at all times. I find these both to be great as more wearable bold lip colors and will definitely be toting them around with me this Summer! Nars does it again...

Have you guys tried any shades from the Nars lipgloss range? What are your favorites?

  1. Salamanca is such a favorite of mine, too! I would love to see Sixities Fan on you, too! Salamanca is such a perfect shade for summer, and I love the way it looks on you! I used this same magazine page as a backdrop for an Instagram post a few weeks ago! Squee! Great minds think alike! :D

    1. Ahh - that is so funny! I saw this and thought it was too cute to pass-up as a background. I love Salamanca, I am wondering what color I should try out next? Any suggestions would be welcomed :)
