One benefit of the temperatures plummeting is that it gives better excuse than any to cozy up in your robe and have a good 'at home spa' moment. I know that Sundays are often the pamper day of choice, but what about enjoying a moment of relaxation in the middle of a week when it seems time just stands still? The days are long, dark, and cold and after being away from the house for 10 hours all I want to do is come home and submerge myself into a tub filled to the brim with bubbles, light a candle, and slather on a moisture-inducing mask to re-juice my skin. Office heating systems can wreak serious havoc on the skin, don't you agree? Every few months, the array of products I turn to for my 'mini-spa' change according to season and right now it just so happens to be my favorite time of the year, complete with a bath that smells good enough to drink...

I'll always start off with a clean face and then buff off any dead skin before applying a moisturizing mask. My favorite manual exfoliator to get the job done is the Fresh Sugar Face Polish, which is packed with nourishing oils and bits of strawberries to keep the skin from getting dry post-polish. I like to let it sit on the skin for a few minutes before having a good ol' scrub so that all the good stuff can soak into my skin, then I'll rinse it off and apply the Origins Drink Up Mask before I hop in the tub.

I have been completely infatuated with the Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel as of late. Now, I know it's labeled as a shower gel but the bubble inducing formula was just too rich and foamy to not try in the bath, and man, am I happy I did. I liken it to sitting in a bath-ful of Christmas cheer and my skin feels soft and happy too. While I'm in there I like to exfoliate my limbs with a bit of my current favorite & Other Stories Punk Bouquet Body Scrub, which smells of roses and sweet champagne and leaves my skin ridiculously moisturized and soft as a baby's bottom. After I've dried myself off I like to seal in the moisture as quickly as possible and I've been getting oil-happy with the De Mamiel Botaniques Salvation Body Oil since I've gotten my hands on it. I'm telling you, this is one luxurious blend of natural a drink of nectar for the skin.

There are a few extra steps I tend to take before heading off into the land of slumber and that includes tending to my dry and cracked lips. First comes buffing the lips with my Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub to rid of dry patches, and next up is a treatment of sorts, the By Terry Baume de Rose which ensures they stay plump and juicy until sunrise. For good measure, and a hit of calming lavender aroma, I love to spritz my pillow with the This Works Deep Sleep Plus Pillow Spray and roll its counterpart, This Works Breathe In Oil onto pulse points. Ultimate in-home spa, complete

If you need me...I'll be cozying up in my bed watching re-runs of American Horror Story.
