This review has been a long time coming to say the least. Do you know when you just love a product so much that you don't really question why or how it works so well? That is exactly what happened to me with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush and I can't believe I've yet to proclaim my love for them here on the blog.

I have been using these blushes since their release earlier this year, starting with the shade Mood Exposure which is a stunning moody mauve appropriate for everyday. I loved it so much that I have been slowly building up my collection of shades, and can safely say that every single one of these marbled concoctions is special and beautiful in its own way. Here are a few reasons why these are amazing:
  • The shades are universally flattering, and although some may appear too light in the pan, the pigmentation of the colors are intense enough to show up on almost all skin tones.
  • One swirl of your brush will pick up enough product, so these will last you awhile. As I mentioned, the pigmentation is amazing and a little definitely goes a long way with these.
  • The blushes are finely milled and silky in texture, and just like their powder counterparts they are lightweight and great for layering without ever looking too overdone.
  • Lasting power is on point. I seriously have worn these nonstop for months and can say without question they remain noticeable on the cheeks for up to an impressive ten hours.
  • If you're a highlighter type of girl, these light-infused blushes will become your best friend. Saving me that extra step has earned them a permanent place in my makeup bag.
The result of these blushes are a naturally radiant finish and they can be built up and layered on top of or underneath other powders for a seamless finish. If you want an all over ethereal glow, which we all do, then I suggest getting these little guys on your side.

Swatches, for reference, top to bottom: Mood Exposure, Dim Infusion, and Luminous Flush.

  1. Do you want to win a coat? If yes, just join my new giveaway.

  2. I have 3 of these as well and REALLY love Mood Exposure! That's the one I reach for most. Radiant Magenta is another, but I do find that one oxidizes on me. I discovered this one day in the bathroom at work when I looked into the mirror around 3 p.m. and I appeared to have gone "old lady chic" with the rouge, lol! Now I use a lighter hand. They are fantastic blushes, everyone should try at least one!

  3. They sound so gorgeous! Really just luxury blushes! The shades are so pretty and effortless as well.
