Creed produces some of the world's finest fragrances, and has a long-standing tradition of family and luxury. The brand was passed down from father to son, and today, remains the world's only privately held luxury fragrance dynasty. Pretty chic, right?

Creed The Amour Collection (curated by the Master of Fashion), is sure to be top of any fragrance or luxury-lovers list this Christmas. Men, take note - if you wanted to score big with your lady this is the way. The set features the Love In White collection; Love in White Perfume (2.5 oz.), Love in White Perfumed Oil (2.5 oz.), and a full size Love in White Candle. Now...onto what makes this scent so special.

Love in White was created by the Master perfumer, Olivier Creed himself. It was inspired by his love of sailing the world, and is meant to capture the sense of freedom that comes with that. The fresh, floral fragrance is made up of hand-chosen essences from five different continents, making it a representation of global culture.

Overall, the scent is described as "a zesty citrus grounded by powdery rice husk and cool florals.

Top Note: Spanish Orange zest.

Middle Note: Tonkin rice husk, Egyptian Iris, Italian White Jasmine, Daffodils from the French Riviera, Guatemalan Magnolia, and Bulgarian Rose.

Bottom Note: Vanilla from Java, Calabrian ambergris, Indian Sandalwood.

It's one of the house's most popular scents, and for good reason. It's fresh and feminine, but not short on sophistication. It's the smell of a woman who knows what she wants and who wants to be remembered - a truly luxurious gift

I'm a bit late to the game here; but, better late than never they say. I have been testing out these products from Sunday Riley over the past few weeks, and I have to say - they've landed themselves a permanent spot in my routine. These few treatments are unlike any others I have come across, almost in a category of their own, and are extremely effective. Read on if you're looking for skincare that'll make you glow...

I used to be a devotee of Balm Cleansers, but after awhile I grew tired of spending so much time massaging them in to allow them to remove makeup - and I certainly wasn't a fan of the residue some left behind. I also only use them at night, so you can imagine just how perfect the Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm is for me. This sugar-based balm to milk cleanser is super gentle and effortlessly removes all traces of makeup - even stubborn mascara. It also contains cocoa butter and Mimosa flower wax to moisturize and blue tansy and German chamomile to soothe irritated skin. I also love how relaxing the balm is to use thanks to the inclusion of vanilla and orange essential oils; it really is zzz-inducing.

Speaking of the perfect nighttime products; Luna Sleeping Night Oil works hard after you fall asleep. This fast-absorbing retinol oil helps to reduce pore size, repair the look of damaged skin, lines, wrinkles, and promotes an overall more clear complexion. It contains a blend of potent active oils including blue tansy (to soothe effects of retinol), German chamomile, cold pressed avocado, chia, and concord grape - which, as you can imagine, have you waking up with plumped and glowing skin. I've been using it for two weeks and can't even tell you how much my skin loves this oil.

And, of course, I can't speak about Sunday Riley without mentioning their cult-classic, Good Genes. This lactic acid treatment is really, just that. Lisa Eldridge has raved about what it can do for your skin before - can a product have a more legitimate stamp-of-approval than that? The answer is no. It's a corrective treatment, that can be used as either a serum or mask, that plumps, increases circulation, and brightens for a more even and clear complexion. I'm hooked.

What are your favorites from Sunday Riley?

It's not too often I fall in love with a new eyeshadow formula. So when I devote an entire post to a new palette release you can trust that it's got to be really good. That's exactly why I am here today to tell you about the Laura Geller "The Delectables" palettes.

The palette is available in two shade ranges; one Delicious Shades of Nude, and one Delicious Shades of Cool. Having warm undertones in my skin, I tend to lean toward warmer shades for everyday wear, and the Delicious Shades of Nude is chock full of beautiful options ranging from satin to shimmer; 14 to be exact. The palette contains creams, golds, shades of red-brown and garnet, and of course your classic bronzes and even an unexpectedly flattering khaki. I was even pleasantly surprised by The Delicious Shades of Cool palette - the shades range from wearable taupes and pearls to graphites and rich, deep plums and navy. This palette is sure to give you every potential option you could want for a smoldering night out look.

True to Laura Geller style, the shadows are baked powders...and really some of the best I've ever tried in terms of blendability and pigmentation. If you're into palettes, you know it can be difficult to find baked shadows whose payoff isn't at all chalky or drags when applied. These are buttery smooth and can be used both dry, or wet for more depth and intensity. Better yet, these shadows have the creaminess of a primer baked right in, so the wear time is exactly what you'd expect; they're not going anywhere

Have you tried these palettes from Laura Geller yet?

It's the most wonderful time of the pamper and prep for all of those last minute holiday parties you find yourself getting invited to. More often than not you're left with no time for a manicure, but fret not, there are a bevy of nail prep kits and chip-resistant polishes that will have your nails looking party-ready in no time at all. And most importantly...last for more than just one party. Here are the steps and products it takes to get there...

First, PREP - The contents of Deborah Lippmann's Cuticle Lab pretty much have you covered when it comes to a smooth canvas. With this kit, there's no need for any physical cutting, just gently push them back after applying the Cuticle Remover and voila! Follow up with some nourishing Cuticle Oil and you'll have the perfect, smooth base on which to begin applying the polish. I always find this helps to ensure the color lasts longer as well, so it's an important don't miss step.

Next, BASE - Definitely a much more important step than some may realize. I used to skip out on this part of the manicure because I had deemed it unnecessary, and sometimes, it even made it harder to paint my nails after. Enter Deborah Lippmann's array of base coats that make polish adhere and dry down to feel like there's nothing there but bare nail. My favorites are: Fast Girls (a thin base coat that dries fast and smooth), Turn Back Time (a nude ridge-filling base that works wonders for any nude mani-lovers), and Hard Rock (a strengthening base & top coat).

Then, COLOR - My latest color obsession comes from Smith & Cult. There's been a lot of talk surrounding this niche brand recently, and for good reason. The color selection is absolutely amazing; great non-streaky nudes, like Ghost Edit, brighter options for those who like to pack a punch, and of course, glitters. My favorites are Ghost Edit (the most perfect nude that works even in one coat - no streaks!), Dirty Baby (that black with micro-glitter - I'm obsessed), Kings & Thieves (punchy, but chic royal blue), and City of Compton (an update on a girly pink).

Last, SEAL - Can't forget the top coat! I always, always, always use a quick-dry one, but am careful which one I choose. Some fast drying top coats have a tendency to shrink, or recede from the nail edge, ruining your manicure completely. Since I don't have the patience to wait a full hour for my nails to fully dry, I rely on Deborah Lippmann's Addicted to Speed topcoat, which seals the nail and dries in minutes.

Holiday manicures sorted. What are your at-home manicure essentials?

I recently introduced you (or, at least, myself) to the Hungarian luxury skincare brand, Omorovicza, here. Well, I'm back at it again to talk about why their products have remained a staple in my ever changing routine - which really, is a rarity. However, there are a couple of products from the brand have helped keep my skin clear, bright, and smooth even through the change of seasons.

Deep Cleansing Mask - I spoke about this mask briefly before, but I loved it so much I went ahead and purchased the full sized pot. It has been saving face, quite literally, even now that the temperatures are dropping. The mask is infused with Hungarian moor mud, which helps to draw out impurities from deep inside your pores, yet, never creates dry or aggravated skin. My skin feels nourished when I take it off, and it feels smooth and virtually poreless. It's become an essential part of my skin upkeep kit - I love to use it on weekends and as a mid-week skin detox. I know it's working because even during *that time of the month* my skin remained clear and fresh.

Refining Facial Polisher - This exfoliator is one of the best I've ever come across. It combines moor mud, micro-algae, and natural pumice to smooth skin by gently buffing away dead cells and dirt. While manual exfoliation gives instant results, fruit acids also work chemically to regenerate skin cells and keep skin radiant and glowing. I use this a few times a week to ensure no dead skin gets left behind and clogs my pores. I'm also kind of obsessed with the green color of the exfoliator - makes application all the more fun.

Have you tried any gems from the brand?

With the holidays fast approaching, travel is something that's on all of our minds. Whether for business, a post-Christmas vacation, or if you're going home for the holidays - knowing what you're going to wear takes a load off stress-wise. After countless restless flights, I've learned that the best way to fly is as comfortably as possible. Luckily, with a little bit of planning, fashion does't have to take a back seat to style. Invest in some cool, quality basics, and you'll be sure to arrive to your destination looking as chic as you did when you took off.

Here are some of the items I'm sure to take with me no matter where I'm headed...
  1. Sisley Express Flower Gel Mask - A hydrating, brightening mask that won't leave skin greasy and can be worn on the plane without disturbing your neighbor. It's virtually undetectable and doesn't require washing off with that questionable airplane bathroom water. Basically, you need this
  2. Theory White Tee - A chic, quality option that holds up well through travel.
  3. MCM Passport Holder - Keep your passport and documents tucked neatly, and chicly away in this passport holder. It somehow manages to make going through security that much better.
  4. Sandro Collar Coat - It's always a good idea to wear your heaviest item on the plane. This one is clean, sturdy, and won't get stained - plus it layers well with just about anything you might wear throughout your trip.
  5. Chloe Marcie Crossbody - It's always a good idea to bring a crossbody with you on your trip. I love this one, as it's spacious enough to fit what you need...and can even be tucked into your tote during check-in.
  6. Louis Vuitton Neverfull - This is the tote I was talking about. It's pretty much the best bag investment you can make, as it can be filled to the brim with any travel documents, beauty products, and snacks you may need on the flight.
  7. Burberry Cashmere Scarf - The do-it-all accessory. I like this one because it can double as a cozy blanket during your flight and keep you warm throughout your trip while you're sightseeing.
  8. Ash Slip On Sneakers - Black leather sneakers with a cool factor. These add a bit of height for a slimming effect, and you'll be so thankful you brought them with you.
  9. Vince Sweater - Easily pulled over that classic white tee. It'll also be a go-to throughout your trip for layering and looks classic.
Don't forget to bring your warmest leggings, and of course your entertainment essentials. Where are you heading for the holidays?

Darphin is one of my go-to skincare ranges when I need a glow in an instant. Their 8-flower Nectar Oil Cream is more like an experience than a moisturizer; their products are seriously luxurious. The Essential Oil Elixirs are more or less their hero product, so I have been using them for about a month to see what all the talk was about.

The oils are rich, deeply nourishing, and beautifying. Each one is created around a different essential oil, and targets a different skin concern - meaning you can create your own very specific skincare elixir by mixing the ones best suited to you. I love being able to tailor my oil cocktail to my skin's current needs, which in truth alter from day to day. Here's a breakdown of the four I've been using to create my happiest complexion yet.

Niaouli Aromatic Care - A mattifying aromatherapy concentrate for combination to oily skin types. Niaouli helps to control excess oil production without stripping skin or leaving a greasy residue. My skin drinks this stuff in immediately and I wake up with a healthy glow the morning after using it.

Jasmine Aromatic Care - A restorative blend of essential oils for mature, hyperpigmented skin. Jasmine nourishes the skin deeply, helping to reduce signs of premature aging and promoting radiance. Ylang Ylang and iris also help to combat fine lines and make skin feel dewy and plumped.

Orange Blossom Aromatic CareAn aromatherapy essential oil treatment for sensitive skin types. It brightens, lightens, and restores balance to stressed skin. If you've had a bad reaction to a product or deal with climate change - this will bring your skin back to its happy place - and beyond.

Rose Aromatic Care - A rejuvenating aromatherapy essential oil treatment for normal skin types. Rose works to soften the skin, banish impurities and moisturize. The oil also helps to fight free-radicals, keeping skin youthful longer. A great addition to a winter skincare regimen.

To me perfume has always been a gift that I love to give and receive. Some people find it a daunting task to choose a fragrance for someone else, as it can be a very personal preference. But to me that also means it's something that can bring someone a lot of happiness and a gift that keeps on giving. They'll have it for at least months after, and who knows, maybe the scent you chose for them will become their new signature. Allow me to tempt you with some of my current favorites; there's really something for everyone in this edit.

Maison Margeila Lipstick On - The perfect scent for the beauty lover - it's reminiscent of the smell of lipstick and soft powders - the notes that would fill a small room while a woman is getting ready. Such a unique scent, and one that smells better the longer it's worn.

Maison Margeila By the Fireplace - If you're a fan of the smell of firewood in the winter, this is that memory, bottled. I imagine being in the Alps, nose pressed to the window watching the snow as the smokey, cozy smell of embers fill the chalet.

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom - A warm, inviting floral oriental. The fragrance includes delicate notes of honeyed golden mimosa flowers and spicy crushed cardamom and ends on a smooth, creamy shot of tonka bean.

Tom Ford Amber Absolute - A rare scent infused with fumes of African incense. Tom Ford's signature amber accord is grounded with a salty warmth and rich labdanum. Notes of addictive patchouli, golden woods, and sandalwood are made smooth and inviting with a touch of vanilla. This is one of those scents that makes you want to get closer; one they'll all ask about.

Byredo Gypsy Water - A longtime favorite of mine, it smells like a free-spirited woman might; warm, spicy, a bit earthy - as though she'd been in the woods by a campfire. To me, there's nothing quite like it, and one I always gravitate on days I want to be comfortable and warm. Notes of bergamot, lemon, pepper, juniper berries, incense, pine needles, orris, amber, vanilla, and sandalwood are reminiscent of the Romany lifestyle.

Carven Le Parfum - Fresh, charming, floral. A fragrance that sparkles; it smells clean and floral but is also memorable. Jasmine, neroli, ylang ylang, sweet pea, and sandalwood create a scent that lingers on the skin with warmth and freshness.

Jimmy Choo Illicit - Glamorous, addictive, sexy. A very alluring fragrance for a confident, strong woman who is a risk taker. It's adventurous and flirty all while being very sophisticated, with notes of rose, jasmine, honeyed-amber, and sandalwood.

Lancôme has unofficially deemed it necessary to wear a bold, matte lip this holiday season - and I'm not mad about it. I actually have to say that a cozy turtleneck, a sexy floral scent, and a pop of color on the lips is one of the easiest looks to pull off as well.

You may be wondering how, but the new Color Design Matte Lip Crayons have made painting your pout any shade you please as easy as twist, outline, and scribble in. These mechanical lip crayons pack a serious punch in the pigment department, but manage to be lightweight and creamy enough to not dry out your lips - which is nothing short of amazing. Not to mention, the angled crayon nib makes it super easy to precisely apply the crayons without making a mess of things. The colors were designed for the "it girl" in us all, and that's something I can get behind. My personal favorite bold shade in the range is called Contain Yourself - but it's going to be a bit hard to because it's just so good.

And because one is never enough, Lancôme is treating us to two densely formulated lip options this season. The L'Absolu Rouge Définition lipsticks come in a chic gold-lined black tube with that satisfying magnetic closure we all love - but the formulas are what we're here to talk about. These lipsticks are highly pigmented and rich with a demi-matte finish, meaning they still have a touch of moisture and are not quite as flat in appearance. But, they stay on for at least 4 hours without having to be reapplied and make lips appear fuller and smooth throughout wear. What's also impressive is the shape of the bullet, as it's angled at the tip so that you can apply the color more precisely - something I think is totally necessary when you don't have a lip liner in the exact color handy.

To really get the holiday vibes going - spritz on the the La Vie est Belle perfume. It means "life is beautiful" in French, and I think it really embodies that overall feeling of happiness and joy, which is especially perfect for this time of the year. The fragrance is the first ever iris gourmand and is warm and comforting like a traditional floral oriental scent, but has a unique hint of Patchouli that makes it a bit effortless and rebellious. Very Parisian chic.

Don't you just love a good skincare product that's easy to use and ridiculously effective? I know I certainly do, which is exactly why I haven't been able to put down these M-61 skin treats. You may know the brand for their Power Glow Peel, which is undeniably one of the best peel pads out there, but they have some amazing new additions to their powerful skincare line.

M-61 Vitablast C Scrub & Mask - This is a one-minute Vitamin C & E exfoliator and mask in one. The rich scrub also contains skin-loving ingredients like seabuckthorn, papaya, and yacon - which all work together to soften, smooth, and promote a radiant complexion. Most importantly, a pea-sized bit of this product gives you more glowing skin in as much time as it takes to brush your teeth. It's a perfect treat for the skin that isn't a complete time-suck, but I find it works wonders if it's left on a bit longer as well. I know we all love a good multi-tasking product, and this is one of those that simply works and promotes an overall more radiant complexion.

M-61 Hydraboost Eye - The colder months are upon us, and if you haven't already started, now's the time to kick-start moisture for your eyes. The delicate skin around the eye can become the driest, so this peptide-packed firming and moisturizing eye cream is your new best friend. This fast-absorbing cream contains hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B5 to help plump and nourish the skin, making you look more well rested and fresh.

Have you tried any products from M-61 before?

November has been filled with holiday beauty releases and a bit more free time than usual to play around with them all. Thank you, Thanksgiving. Though I wasn't quite ready for the holiday week to be over, I am excited to share with you some of my favorite products from the month of November. Think of it as your capsule shopping list should you feel so inclined

La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer & Foundation - This is the most luxe skincare/makeup hybrid I own. Like all things La Prairie, it contains Caviar Extract, which is supremely moisturizing, energizing, and nourishing. All this from a makeup product, you ask? This isn't just makeup - it's a three-in-one skin perfecter; creamy concealer, flawless foundation, and luxe skincare product. The coverage is perfect, looks natural, and you only need the tiniest bit for a natural-looking base. The concealer is also perfect for under eyes, as it's creamy and nourishing, but doesn't settle into fine lines. I've been using it all month long and have to say it's improved the texture of my skin during, and after, wear. It's nice to feel like your makeup is doing something good for your skin, and that's exactly what this product does.

Tom Ford Brow Sculptor - When Tom Ford does something well, he does it really well. This is my favorite brow product lately, as the angled wax nib helps you to shape the brows perfectly and the shade (Espresso) is the perfect brown without being to ashy or red. The texture of the product also helps to hold brow hairs in place without looking still, as some gels can do. Finally.

Guerlain Meteorites Holiday 2015 - I've spoken about my love of Guerlain a lot recently, but the holiday take on the classic meteorites is just stunning. I can't get enough of these, as they add great radiance to the complexion and an ethereal touch to your makeup routine. That packaging doesn't hurt either.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Tisse Vendome - The colors in this palette are perfect for everyday, and I love the addition of the pink shade. It's a wearable change from bronze neutrals and all the shades are so versatile, especially because they can be applied wet, for more intensity, or dry.

Matching made easy - that's so Violet. I don't know about you guys but I love a bit of Violet Grey. The website is amazing, there is no more chic beauty destination out there, and the product selection is so perfectly curated you'll never again wonder what to pick up or what to leave behind - Violet does all of that for you.

That bit of advice is invaluable, but more so than ever when it comes to matching lip and nail colors. Sometimes, there is nothing more classic and beautiful than a classic red or nude lip with color-matched tips.

I'll admit I was dying to make a purchase from Violet Grey so that I could receive the impossibly chic makeup bag that the sets come with. But the practical voice inside my head urged me to purchase the set with the perfectly curated lips & tips combo. It includes Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Nude Kate and YSL Nail Lacquer in 22 Beige Leger - two products that I'm wearing as I type this post and have been since they've arrived.

Nude Kate is the most perfect, universally flattering, shade of beige nude lipstick I've discovered in quite some time. It makes lips appear plumper and there's no denying Charlotte's formulas really can't be beat. I do recommend buffing lips prior to wearing a shade this pale though, just for a smoother canvas and to make sure no dry patches poke through that chic nude lip. Even better, it's nail varnish counterpart, Beige Leger is the most utterly perfect shade of sheer nude ever. I'm pretty positive that this shade could transform even the most dire nail situation into chic, polished tips.

Do you love the idea of the perfectly curated lips & tips sets as much as I do?

Candles are one of my favorite ways to add a touch of warmth to the home. It's crazy how such a small object can have such a large overall impact on the ambience of a space. So, it should come as no surprise that I am always on the hunt for an exceptionally beautiful candle - and that's exactly what I found in Carrière Frères.

The brand name translates to the Carrière brothers, which gives us a bit of insight into the history of centuries-old candle company. The brand was founded in 1884 during the dawn of the industrial revolution, when the entrepreneurial brothers set out to reinvent the candle making process. They were able to create smooth and long burning candles, taking home the gold medal at the 1889 Universal Exposition, even going on to become the official wax supplier to Sacrè-Coeur in Paris. The scents are singular, but have an amazing depth, and are inspired by the scientific discovery of different flowers, woods, fruits, and herbs.

The scents are unique and fresh, and the selection I have here are especially perfect for the holiday season - but in the most nonintrusive way. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a typical holiday scent, but after a few hours they can get a bit intense and give me a headache. Zingiber is a fresh ginger scent that smells a bit lemony and a bit spicy. Ebenus smells of ebony trees, which give off an addictive vanilla-laced, powdery woods scent when the wood from the tree is burned. Titio smells of smoked grass and cinders, like firewood burning on a cold winter night - a truly primal and comforting scent.

I do find that these candles burn more smoothly and evenly than others that I have burned in the past - much more so than my previous favorites Diptyque and Byredo. They have quickly risen to the top of my favorite candles list and all have incredible scent throw as well. Even the glass jars are lacquered by hand and the fragrances are created in Grasse - the perfume capital of the world.

Have you tried Carrière Frères candles yet?

As a twenty-something, pore size and an oily t-zone are skin concerns that I'm working to combat on a daily basis. I'll never be able to stress enough the importance of regular exfoliation for keeping skin smooth, blemish-free, and radiant.

I am always on the lookout for exfoliators that can be used multiple times a week, if not almost everyday. That means the product has to be gentle. It's for these reasons that I love the Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains with echinacea green envy. I've written about Farmacy products previously, but they are a relatively new brand that launched at Sephora, QVC, and online at

Like all of their products, the Gentle Exfoliating Grains contain an array of natural ingredients that are kind to skin. The product contains rice bran powder, white willow bark, cranberry seeds, marshmallow and green tea - all of which work together to create a deliciously gentle exfoliant. The result is a deeper clean, a clarified and brighter complexion, and a mattified t-zone free of surface impurities. But best of all, it's quick and easy to use. You simply pour out about a quarter size into the palm of your hand and add a bit of water to create a foamy cream exfoliator that can be buffed into skin in circular motions to lift away dead skin cells.

The product retails for $30, but to me these little grains make for a truly luxurious cleansing experience. I use this about 4-5 times per week on average, and have to say that my skin has been much smoother, there are much fewer blackheads, and my overall complexion is brighter. You can really tell the difference that these make when going to apply makeup as well. No foundation or powder clings to dry patches or dead skin thanks to the New Day Exfoliating Grains helping to speed up skin's cell-renewal process. Even if you haven't been keen on exfoliators before, these grains are so gentle and effective that you'll be converted - trust me.

Pick up a bottle for yourself here and see the amazing results these little grains have on your skin. Follow Farmacy on Instagram @FarmacyBeauty and check out this video for more information on the brand.

It was a few years ago that the Maison Margiela Replica fragrances caught my eye. I was drawn particularly to Lazy Sunday Morning, a scent based on a memory of soft skin and bed linen in Florence circa 2003. I instantly had flashbacks to my lazy Sunday mornings in the Renaissance capital of Europe; staring up from the protection of cotton sheets at the ancient vaulted ceiling, the city air drifting through the open windows carrying with it the smell of freshly baked cookies from the bakery downstairs. It's so true that a certain memory usually carries with it a scent, or vice versa. Perhaps you're favorite scent is so for a reason - it's laced with nostalgia and evokes a particular feeling that only it can.

With names like Lazy Sunday Morning, Lipstick On, and By The Fireplace, it's evident that Maison Margeila fragrances were each created with a very specific memory in mind - a Replica of varying locations and periods. I've spoken before about how emotional scents can be, which is why I love them - you can collect them just as you do memories and moods.

Lipstick On is reminiscent of my grandmother's powder room - of soft rice powder, vanilla, and vintage Chanel lipsticks that smelled of iris. I'm quite fond of this scent for obvious reasons, it evokes intimate feelings of beauty rituals and smells of a sophisticated woman who knows what she wants. You know the chic woman we all gawk at walking by in her stilettos, carrying with her a certain smell - that's Lipstick On.

By The Fireplace evokes another memory that I'm quite familiar with. A scent based on an addictive chestnut accord, it's laced with clove, vanilla, orange flower, and pink pepper and truly smells like the warmth of a crackling fire on a frosty winter evening. It's the perfectly delicious accompaniment to your coziest cashmere sweater.

They always say, there's no time like the present. In this case, that statement rings truer than ever. The holiday season calls for you kick your daily beauty regimen up a notch, and the best way to do just that is by switching out your daily one-swatch wonder for a palette of rich shimmering hues. Building a palette wardrobe of sorts will have you covered for any occasion that may arise during the most wonderful time of the year. Here are my picks for anyone looking to start amping up their eye makeup game, and best of all, these palettes work on almost all skin types and tones.

The Glimmering Gemstones - Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in 05 Silvered Topaz. The perfect palette to accustom yourself to the depths of the smokey eye world. The muted, but still rich, shades are super versatile that most can be worn day and night in many a variation. It's also great that it includes a matte espresso shade for some crease werk, and a shimmering champagne for adding some highlight effect.

The Platinum Smokey Shades - Chanel Les 4 Ombres in 246 Tisse Smoky. The perfect array of silvers and a sexy, satiny black to create a seamless smokey eye as precise as a work of art. These shadows work perfectly when swirled onto a dry brush, but if you're up for some extra intensity, a small wet brush will help define the crease and lower lash line with serious depth. Each shade is so multi-faceted, that they'd even look beautiful worn on their own should you be short on time.

The Rusted Bronzes - Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita. The palette for creating a heavily bronzed lid with a touch of warm rusted elegance. The name of the shades speaks volumes to their effect, they create the doe-eyed allure of an Italian bombshell without having to put forth too much effort. Charlotte's already decoded the how-to of application right on the back of each compact.

The Edgy Satin Neutrals - Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 796 Cuir Cannage. This palette is stocked with rich, smooth, satiny neutrals with a bit of an edge. The deep purple adds depth and an unexpected element to an otherwise neutral eye, but even the bronze shades aren't your run-of-the mill. They're a bit more exciting, and if you're an eyeshadow newb, you'll appreciate their blendability.

I've always had a habit of overpacking when it comes to, well, everything. But I find it especially hard to narrow down my prized beauty products to a capsule-sized collection within the confines of the 3-1-1 rule. However, the past few times I've traveled with all of my beauty, hair, skin, and body essentials tucked neatly into my carry-on. Whether or not you're traveling with only carry-ons this is helpful should your luggage get lost (it's happened to me before...restocking your whole supply is not cheap). It also forces you to take less, and to really think about what your one bold lip color might be. Not to mention, you won't end up with a bag that weighs you down or too many products to choose from when you're getting ready for a day of exploring.

Trust me and print out this list for yourself. Put it inside your clear travel-ready pouch for your next adventure and slowly add appropriately-sized products in as you get them! No last minute rush to pack the toiletries...meaning no forgetting the toothpaste.

Everyone who loves beauty has dreamed of visiting the Guerlain store in Paris, which is stunning, but did you know that you can also experience the iconic brand and all it has to offer in-store at any Guerlain counter? A few weeks back, I was invited by Guerlain to learn more about the history of the brand and their beautiful and innovative product line, and I have to say I've never had such an educational visit to any beauty counter ever before. As someone who often shops online for beauty products, this experience was a refreshing change from my usual way of beauty shopping. I left with a stronger love and appreciation for the brand. In today's oversaturated market, it's comforting to know that this brand has stood the test of time and remained authentic; a true beacon of luxury today.

I was schooled in the art of Guerlain in the Westchester Neiman Marcus by my most gracious host, Jackie. She explained in depth the reason for each product in the line and what ingredients made each product different from others on the market. Thanks to Jackie, I discovered my perfect mascara formula - Maxi Lash So Volume, which separates, lengthens, and curls better than any mascara I've ever tried. I was also introduced to KissKiss Roselip, a hydrating and plumping lip color infused with rose oils for nourished, healthy lips. It hasn't left my side since that day and I can't wait to try more colors from the line.

Not only was the experience customized to my interests, beauty needs, and preferences, but I also learned so many interesting facts about the brand's rich history. For instance, did you know that Guerlain Eau de Cologne Impériale, a citrus aromatic fragrance for women, was created by Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain in 1858 as commissioned by Empress Eugénie (wife of Napoleon III) to ease her migraine suffering? Guerlain expanded his line went on to open his first perfume shop in Paris on Rue de la Paix. Cologne Impériale is still one of the oldest fragrances still in production today - almost 200 years old. The fragrance that began it all, more or less. The house went on to become the official perfumer to Elizabeth of Austria, the famous Sissi, Queen Victoria, and Queen Isabella of Spain. Guerlain is also celebrating another important anniversary this year, as it's iconic Shalimar fragrance has now been around for 90 years.

What I liked most about the experience was learning how much research, history, and care goes into developing and creating each product in the Guerlain line. The products and brand have stood the test of time, and yet, remain true to their heritage - all of which is the best testament to the level of luxury carried with the Guerlain name. If you haven't had an in-store experience with Guerlain yet, I highly recommend you find your closest location and pay a visit.

Less time waiting, more time glowing. As much as I love sprawling out on my bed at the end of a long day with a cup of tea in hand and a thick layer of my mask of choice on my face, there's just not always time for it. For when your complexion needs a kick start, but you just can't find 20 minutes - here are my favorite masks that work in 5 minutes or less.
  1. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask - Yes, this is the one that smells like a pumpkin latte. As soon as it's slathers on your mug (pun intended) you feel it start to get to work. It contains both chemical and physical exfoliators that tingle and gently scrub off all dead skin to reveale a smoother, poreless complexion. In fact, I wouldn't leave it on for more than 5 minutes as it's quite a potent formula - you'll feel what I mean when you try it for yourself.
  2. Sisley Radiant Glow Express Mask - A luxe option for a quick treat yourself moment. It only asks you relax for 3-5 minutes while it banishes signs of a dull, fatigued complexion. Red Clay, Carrot, and Rosehip extracts deeply cleanse, while Rosemary and Chamomile lift away impurities. It is also a red clay-based mask, but isn't the least bit drying - instead it's soothing and brings a lackluster complexion a dose of restorative energy and the glow to show for it. Almost like a cup of tea for your face...
  3. Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask - This is the foaming mask that makes you look like Santa while you're wearing it. It is a nice takeoff from the typical masks that sometimes feel so heavy and medica - this one is fun and fizzy. It's super gentle and can be used as often as you like, as it's more like a revved up cleanser than harsh treatment. After using this my skin always feels plumped and hydrated, which is a perfect way to start the day or end it.
  4. Nude Miracle Exfoliating Mask - If you're a fan of the Nude cleanser, allow me to introduce you to its mask counterpart. The texture is almost like an oil meets gel, and it contains mirco-exfoliating particles that feel like they are really getting into crevices and obliterating dead skin in their path. The mask tightens when dry and almost gives a little lift to the skin when removed. I'm a fan, and it's clear so you don't look crazy when wearing it either.
