MASKS FOR COMBATTING PROBLEM SKIN IN COLD WEATHER

Dry problem skin can be one of the toughest kinds to deal with. I speak as a girl who used to never get dry skin, but in fact, quite the opposite until perhaps a year ago when conditions started becoming a bit more parched. By no means do I have dry skin year-round, but that's what I'm working with in this moisture-zapping winter climate. Of course, that hasn't been my only recent skin concern...no, no. I had a few breakouts after all the holiday drinking and eating that happened a few weeks back. Raise your hand if, you too, struggle with finding blemish busting masks that don't leave your skin in a Sahara like state. Same here.

I do, however, have a few favorites that have made their way to the front lines of my skincare stash to help fight off pesky blemishes without destroying everything good in their path. The Eve Lom Rescue Mask and the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask are both godsends for troubled and sensitive skin. I use both of these masks on a regular basis, alternating one every week, or when I feel my skin could use the extra kick. I would describe these as very gentle do-it-all treatments, both from which you can expect unclogged pores, a brighter, more even tone, and softer skin. These soothing and cleansing masks are permanent skincare staples that keep my skin, and therefore, me happy.

  2. I totally get you- although my skin isn't that blemish prone, it is very very dry, especially now that it's winter. I have got to try that Aesop mask, my skin is desperate need of some moisture!
