Some color on the cheeks brings a youthful and fresh feeling to pretty much any makeup look. If you don't know where to start in terms of choosing a shade, or shades for that matter, these are my personal favorites and it just so happens that they are universally flattering as well.

  1. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure // I love almost all the shades from this line of blushes, but Mood Exposure is no doubt my favorite. The formula of these blushes are incredible, each blush has a complementing highlight shade running through it. It looks almost plummy in the pan but when applied on the cheeks and swept upward it gives a subtle sculpted warmth to the face with a touch of glow.
  2. Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar // A sheer, but easily blendable blush in a matte, peachy pink shade that will suit quite an array of skintones. The result is a healthy and fresh cheek that would complement any neutral makeup look perfectly. The formula of the blush is long lasting, so it's not going anywhere once it's applied.
  3. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy // Yup, this one again. It's a punchy bright flush that does just what the name of the shade suggests. It gives you that "I've had one too many" flush but never looks too much on the cheeks thanks to both the lack of shimmer and the finely-milled light formula.
  4. Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush // A baby pink blush that mimics the look of naturally flushed cheeks, courtesy of quite a unique formula. The shade self-adjusts with your skin's chemistry to create a custom flush that looks as though it's coming entirely from within. It's literally everyone's unique, but perfect, pink.
  5. MAC Powder Blush in Harmony // A tawny taupe blush whose shade versatility allows it to be used as either a blush or contour. I reach for this blush when I want something that will complement my makeup and not interfere. It's great as a quick warmth-inducing sweep and sure to be any blush-shy girl's new favorite.

  1. Mood Exposure is one of my favs! I'll have to try the Bobbi Brown; that color looks gorgeous!

    1. I love it too! Let me know if you like the Bobbi Brown

  2. Tipsy is such a stunning shade and I need it in my life! I have Exposed and love it to bits. I'd also love to try the HG blushes - they sound so pretty and luminous.

    Tasha // shiwashiful.

  3. Quite keen to obtain the Hourglass blusher but so. much. money! One day though... one day. Great list. Xx
