If you've been visiting my blog for quite some time, you'll know how much I love the Ambient Lighting products from Hourglass. If you're with me there, I'm sure you've heard news that Hourglass has recently added to the Ambient Lighting family with a new bronzer, the Ambient Lighting Bronzer, that comes in two shades. Radiant Bronze Light is the warmer and darker of the two shades and Luminous Bronze Light is the lighter option, and also the one I picked up. The shade is a beautiful mixture of a neutral bronze fused with the original Luminous Light powder.

Like the other products in this Hourglass family, this bronzer was created using the same "Photoluminescent Technology, featuring optically transparent particles that transform the look of skin by manipulating and refracting light to emphasize your best features." Quite a mouthful, but in less scientific terms, it's a soft super-finely milled powder that has a luminous finish, helping to create depth and dimension versus looking flat like most other bronzers.

The color I have is perfect for my NW20 skin tone, can be worn subtly or layered for more impact. It can also be used either as an all over bronzer, or as a light contour. At $50, it's a bit of a splurge for a bronzer, but each one is unique and hand mixed for the most beautifully patterned outcome. These are also amazing quality - very smooth, layer beautifully with other powders (especially the other Ambient Lighting powders and blushes) and are not at all shimmery. If you're seeking out a new bronzer that doesn't look ruddy but gives you a beautiful glow, I would definitely consider giving this a try. I can be quite picky with bronzers, but this one is perfect, and is going to make for a beautiful tan enhancer come Summer time as well.

What do you think of the new bronzers from Hourglass?

  1. Can't wait for this to arrive in this post! Glad to hear it's a winner for you
