Florence, Italy - You guessed it. The Renaissance capital of the world deserves beauty products as artistically exquisite as the works that made it famous. Days filled with exploring call for easy, breezy products that go above and beyond their indicated use. Perfect your complexion with the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation for a base that stays put through all the pizza eating and wine drinking you desire. No fuss matte nude lips complete the chic 'n' easy look and the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 202 is the perfect terracotta nude to complement the Italian sunshine. Spritz on a light, sparkling floral fit for Cathering de' Medici herself, from Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. The brand was the city's original profumer and truly did create scents for the famed banking family of Florence. Don't forget to pick up a few of the handcrafted soaps as souvenirs...

Paris, France - The city of love calls for a smokey come hither gaze in the form of a Chanel smokey eye. The Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quad in Tisse Smokey is like the paint-by-numbers of the shadow world and gives that effortless French-girl vibe. Top up your complexion with a radiant, barely there powder that gives an effervescent glow to the skin like the Guerlain Meteorites Voyage powder. The colored powders swirl together to create a complexion-correcting veil on the skin, leaving things looking fresh for a day around the city.

Positano, Italy - You'll want easy, breezy, and chic while lounging on the Amalfi Coast sipping iced white wine and people watching. For a one wash, eye-opening shade on the lids, reach for the über enhancing Clinique Eye Pop in Petal Pop. Swipe a complementary shade of golden peach blush across cheeks for a glowing look - I love Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in Las Salinas. For lips, Tom Ford Patent Finish Lip Color gives a glossy, perfectly imperfect pop of color that matches the sophistication of the destination itself. When's the soonest flight to Naples?

Seville, Spain - As the scent of incense drifts down alleyways from the Royal Alcazar and Tom Ford Amber Absolute echoes memories of smokey amber and Madagascar vanilla. Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel adds the perfect touch of bronze while instantly giving the illusion of sculpted cheekbones - the perfect accompaniment to the loose summer attire you'll be wearing while exploring the sandstone streets.

Edinburgh, Scotland - A city retreat with day trips into the Highlands call for makeup as light and fresh as the landscape itself and easy enough for sightseeing. The La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush gives a wind bitten glow to the cheeks while managing to look more natural than ever. The best base for keeping things hydrated and dewy with enough coverage to look effortlessly perfect is the Sunday Riley Breathable Tinted Primer. It's a base you won't need to think twice about, but your skin will look radiant nonetheless.

Taormina, Sicily - Complement your Sicilian tan with a deep wine lip stain from Kjaer Weis in the shade Beloved. You'll want nothing but light fool-proof beauty products that enhance and brighten while protecting you from the sun. Perfect your complexion with just the right amount of coverage courtesy of the Guerlain Orchidee Impériale Exceptional Complete Care in one easy universally flattering shade. Mimic the look of the glittering ocean and sand with touch of YSL Full Metal Shadow in shade 4 - the ultimate golden goddess color fit for the island.

Santorini, Greece - You'll want to be as minimal as the airy, dreamy all-white aesthetic of the island when it comes to beauty products. Take a bronzer that can quickly be dusted across cheekbones like the Eve Lom Golden Radiance Bronzing Powder. It adds just the right of golden glow without looking like you've had to put in too much work, while keeping the need for too many brushes to a minimum. The perfect sparkling floral scent to pair with your white sundress is the Tom Ford Fleur de Portofino - an irresistible scent based on jasmine, bergamot, vanilla, and honey. Add to your sun-kissed glow with a touch of facial oil like the delicious Neroli infused, fast-absorbing one from African Botanics.

I could go on all day with my favorite destinations, but that would take a second installment. Where do you love to travel to and what are the beauty counterparts?

Oils are everywhere and I've gone from face oil obsessed to a body oil maven. I've always dabbled in oils of some sort, thanks to my long-standing relationship with the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (full review here) which smells like sunshine and a warm floral bouquet and can be used to induce moisture practically anywhere on your body - face, hair, and body. What I'm saying is: if you're not already bathing yourself in some sort of body oil - you need to now. There is no other product out there that can claim to do-it-all (induce radiance, seduce with scent, moisturize on the spot, heal split ends) and truly mean it. Heading into the warmer months, where the percentage of exposed skin rivals that of the hidden, now is the best time of all to try one. Here are some of my favorites, from shimmering after-sun oils to the classics; at least one of these should be on your beauty wishlist this month.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse - The OG body oil; this is the guy that started it all for me. It has a cult-classic scent that smells just as you'd expect a carefree Parisian girl would and nourishes every corner of the body from the split ends to cracked cuticles. I won't ramble on too much about this one, because, I already have here

Soleil Toujours Luxe Après Soleil Exotic Shimmer Body Oil - This is the one that gets the glow. It's the perfect antidote to sun-parched skin and ensures a longer lasting tan while enhancing the one you've got. The dry-oil is absorbed instantly, and when it's used on wet skin it provides a true radiance with undetectable shimmer and uses all natural ingredients to do so. I'm obsessed with the fresh, summery scent it gives as well.

Aveda Composition Oil - Remedy whatever ails you with these prescriptive essential oil mixtures. Stress-Fix offers soothing hints of lavender calming enough to lull you to sleep, while Beautifying uplifts thanks to rosemary and bergamot. What's great about these is they can be used on the body, in the bath, and on the scalp to seal in moisture.

& Other Stories Samite Gold Body Oil - This macadamia-based golden oil is infused with wild fig for a warm, green scent. It gives a sun-kissed sheen to skin and when worn, breathes new life and radiance to dull, winter-ravaged ligaments.

Leonor Greyl Huile Secret de Beauté - This organic oil is for use on hair and body - and with it I do just that. It smells of tiare and lemongrass and helps to restore softness to the skin, giving it an enviable healthy glow that you'll need come summertime. This is the perfect warm-weather getaway companion to keep your strands and body looking and feeling silky.

Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil - This is last summer's version, however, the new summer collection brings with it a version done in their seasonal scent, Soleil Blanc. The oil imparts shimmering particles that give a notable glint of sheeny glitz to the skin, and the scent is intoxicating and lasts all day. This is one I reserve for special occasions, as well as for body only.

Here I'm showing you what skincare products I have been using recently in the evening. I switch things up in terms of skincare quite a bit but I do remain loyal to certain steps. I love the products I've been using for the past few months, however, and I think my skin has looked better and better because of it. I'd love for you to watch and subscribe to my channel - search Necessary Nothings or subscribe at (2 S's)!

Haircare isn't something I experiment with too often, because for me, many of them just overcomplicate my routine. I tend to use the same type of products and reach into my extended stash on the odd occasion that I'm really going for a specific style. Yes, I'm aware of how boring that is, but it's just what works for my super thick, weighty's sort of best without too much product. I am, however, always open to finding products that lean on the more natural side of the spectrum and still manage to produce results. Enter these beautifully packaged vegan, organic and all-natural hair products from Rahua.

The gold accented packages, glass vials and exotic scents looked, and smelled, quite promising - not to mention that these products are beloved by an elite group of hair professionals for their ability to remain natural but produce amazing results. Read: the star ingredient in the haircare products is Rahua oil sourced from the Amazon rainforest. What's so special about this oil is that it has a smaller molecular structure than other oils used in haircare products, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the hair follicle, thus helping to repair hair and yield better results. What's better is that Rahua even sources the oils according to the original practices of the indigenous men and women who have been using it for generations for it's regenerating properties.

As I was saying before, I only factor a few categories of hair products into my daily routine. One of those is, of course, an hair oil - it's the one product I really can't go without. I've tried tons of them and each one is different, but none as deeply nourishing as the Rahua Elixir Daily Hair Drops. While some hair oils sit on top of the hair, upon first application you can really feel this oil absorb immediately into hair and give it a certain softness, shine, and over time strength. I have been using this daily (1-3 drops is all you need) and it has really helped my hair keep strong and my ends nourished while I'm trying to grow it out. The star ingredients are, of course, the Rahua oil, Palo Santo, and Gardenia enfleurage - a potent combination of strengthening oils, essential oil for a calming experience, and antioxidants for protection. Safe to say, I'm addicted to this stuff, and I love how portable and easy it is to pack for travel as well.

The Rahua Voluminous Spray is another product I've been loving from the brand. It contains a refreshing blend of citric juices for soft hold and oil breakdown, lemongrass for body, eucalyptus for clarifying, and lavender for it's therapeutic properties. I've been reaching for this product non-stop to give my hair pick-me-ups throughout the day and to help extend the time between washes and add soft, swishy volume thanks to the citrus blend. I also love how the fresh scent helps to really perk me up when I'm feeling tired. Who doesn't love a good bonus?

Of course, I also love a good finishing product and the Rahua Finishing Treatment has become another daily hair grab. After I wash my hair I use just a dime-sized amount and distribute through my ends for heat protection and for an added hit of moisture. It contains an omega-rich blend of Rahua oil, Palo Santo, Quinoa, Green Tea, and Raspberry leaf extract. I love how soft and swishy this makes my ends look and how well it helps hot tools glide over my hair.

All of these products are deeply nourishing and since using them my hair feels noticeable stronger, looks shinier, and I've experienced less breakage when using heat styling tools which is a real feat, especially considering I've been trying to grow my hair long. I've got my eye on the shampoo and conditioner duo next; have you tried Rahua hair products before?

Here I'm showing you what products I have been loving this past month. There have been a lot of really exciting new launches this month and I've also picked up a few old favorites again. I'd love for you to watch and subscribe to my channel - search Necessary Nothings or subscribe at (2 S's)!

One of the most buzzed-about brands of late, Glossier, has finally launched a Phase 2 Set...thus welcoming the "makeup is a choice" slew of products to help accentuate features, not mask them. You know my style of makeup by now, it fits pretty closely into that category - although, can we admit we sometimes all need a bit of extra help and a good full coverage base? Thank you

So how are the products, you ask? So far, I find that they're pretty well-developed essential products that can fit their way into any routine. The Stretch Concealer was the product I was most excited about, and I love the sheer, moisturizing coverage it gives my under eye area, and the fact that it can also be used on blemishes. I'd say that the level of coverage is buildable, though I prefer a tad bit more for cancelling out my dark circles on mornings where sleep was less than perfect the night before. I do think it's a nice product for a swipe-n'-go concealer application because, despite the lightweight coverage, it does brighten the whole area a fair bit. Best of all? The concealer definitely fits the 'no makeup makeup' bill and looks über natural on.

In terms of the Boy Brow, we've all heard it's praises sung and how it adds tint and hold without looking crispy or obvious. I've reviewed it in full (here) when it was first released, but it has been included in the Phase 2 set because of the mega waiting list there was for the product. I love that the color has an ashy-brown tone and how it can fluff the baby hairs in the front, but my one qualm is that the brush tends to pick up too much product, making it hard to distribute through brows evenly. It's nothing a good spoolie brush-through can't fix, though.

The last, and perhaps, my favorite product of the three is the Generation G lipstick. It's a clever hybrid between a matte lipstick, balm, and lip stain - and I'm all over that. I love that it really does give the promised "popsicle-stain flush" of color to the lips and how it applies from a bullet and not a drying marker, like other stains. It's easy and pretty (it looks like you've just eaten berries or drunk wine) and adds the right amount of girly to this otherwise very minimal look. It keeps the lips moisturized and for me, even works to add a matching and very natural-looking flush to the cheeks. My favorite color is Like for a rosebud stain - yes, please.

Have you tried the Glossier Phase 2 set yet?

Kat Burki is a brand touted by Victoria's Secret supermodels and beauty insiders, alike. So, what I'm trying to say, is, what took me so long to try this brand founded on a passion for wellness and beauty?

Since making the switch to much more nourishing skin products, I have seen a world of difference in the clarity, tone, and texture of my skin. So right off the bat, I felt sure that these Kat Burki products would fit right into my newly constructed regimen.

One product that I don't speak about often is eye cream. Really, it's because I've found it quite difficult to find one that I love enough to shout it from the rooftops here on the blog. Kat Burki's Rose Hip Intense Recovery Eye Serum is a complete game-changer for me. The key here is that the texture is light, yet intensely hydrating, soothing, and instantly de-puffing. I have so often skipped eye cream altogether because some formulas cause milia for me, but with this fast-absorbing serum all I'm left with is smooth, brightened skin. My skin reacts really well to rose hip, and this particular serum not only contains that but, also Vitamin C for brightening, and retinol to help reduce fine lines and signs of aging. It even creates a flawless base on which to apply makeup - I've without a doubt found my new favorite!

If you've been paying attention to my skincare related posts lately, you'll also know my love of facial oils has grown. When I first tried them out I was still a bit skeptical, but over time I've realized they're one of the products responsible for my skin becoming more balanced and normal. The Power Trio Radiance Oil is silky-smooth conditioning blend of 3 cold-pressed oils: Kukiu Nut, Raspberry Seed, and Tamanu. To me, this seems like a do-it all oil in terms of its ingredients. For those worried about oils being too 'greasy' for skin; this one sinks in on contact, and the Raspberry Seed oil even contains a natural form of Salicylic acid to prevent breakouts. I love how radiant and glowy it leaves my skin.

As if these two didn't leave my skin glowing enough, I've also fallen for the Hibiscus Antioxidant Face Mask. The mask contains a blend of Glycolic and Lactic Acids to gently exfoliate, antioxidant rich hibiscus, blueberries, and cranberries to brighten, and cold-pressed oils to soften and moisturize. I love that this mask can be used multiple times a week because it's so gentle on my skin, but at the same time I can see a difference after each use. It seems to clarify and brighten instantly, and the delicious smell doesn't hurt either.

Here's where I show you my top 10 Spring fragrance choices. Watch the video to find out what they are, and of course, all links to products are included in the description box below. Don't forget to show your support and subscribe to my channel (2 S's) for more! What fragrances are you loving right now?

If you follow me on instagram (@necessarynothings) you'll no doubt know I've just returned from a trip with my family to Key West and Delray Beach, Florida. We stayed at The Marker Resort in Key West (highly recommend) and had such a fun and relaxing time exploring the adorable town, seeing Hemingway's 6-toed cats (too cute!), and of course being under the sun and by the water. It's been quite a while since I've been in warmer weather and the change was a welcome one, indeed. I have to say I loved the chilled-out vibe of the island and how much I was able to sit by the water, sip a cool drink, and just enjoy doing nothing. Typically every trip I take is so jam packed with itineraries that it was nice to do just the opposite. If you do make the trek down to the keys, definitely don't miss grabbing a bite to eat and a drink at Sloppy Joe's - it was Hemingway's favorite and has such a cool atmosphere!

I'm glad to have bridged the gap from the end of winter to spring with a warm getaway. It's so good to just go sometimes and I love returning with a clear head, fresh ideas and I can't wait for what's in store for my blog. I'm off to the finger lakes today to visit some family and can't wait for another mini-adventure. Thanks for following along!

Have you gone anywhere recently? Would love to hear any trip recommendations you have as well!

When it comes to primers there's something for everyone. But that can also make it difficult to choose which one it is you need or will do the most for your complexion. I'm sharing my roundup of favorites and breaking them down into categories to help you decide which best suits your current complexion, while getting you one step closer to the complexion you want.

THE MOISTURIZERS - Eve Lom Flawless Radiance Primer SPF 30, Givenchy Acti'Mine Color Correcting Primer, Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. Add moisture to a dehydrated complexion while boosting longevity, radiance, and even color correcting thanks to these few amazing formulas.

THE WARMTH GIVERS - Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in #11, Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer in Peach. My two favorite for pale skin; these both add a touch of peachy warmth - one with shimmer and one without.

THE RADIANCE INDUCERS - Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in #11, Becca Backlight Priming Filter, Guerlain Perfecting Météorites Primer, Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Instant Soft Focus Beauty Flash. Whether you're looking for a strobing companion or an all-over glow giver these are my favorites to get the job done. The Fluid Sheer gives a bit of peachy radiance to a dull complexion, while the Guerlain adds a matte, velvety finish with an added sheen.

THE SUN PROTECTORS - Eve Lom Flawless Radiance Primer SPF 30, Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield. Primers are possibly my favorite way to get a proper dose of SPF on a daily basis, without needing too many extra layers of moisturizer that can sometimes add a white cast.

THE ALL-ROUNDERS - Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted PrimerEve Lom Flawless Radiance Primer SPF 30. Only want one primer? I don't blame you - it simplifies things and guarantees your makeup stays in place, looking its best all day. Choose from one with a light, tone-evening tint and boost of moisture, or a sheer moisturizer-like primer with added hit of radiance and SPF.

Which category of primer do you reach for on a daily basis?

Here's where I show you my lazy day makeup routine, product favorites, and swatch the new Glossier Phase 2 set IRL. I'd love for you to watch and subscribe to my channel or click here

Jo Malone's seasonal fragrance releases are some I think the entire beauty community (and world) anxiously awaits the launch of each year. We have finally reached that point in 2016 with an amazing new collection of Jo Malone spring scents inspired by a day in a blossoming English herb garden. Drawing inspiration from fresh foliage, flowers, and fruit...this collection is filled with surprising combinations of our favorites from the garden for an experience that is an "aromatic artistry of herbs; verdant, crisp, juicy and sweet." The scents are meant to be worn alone, as they are already deliciously complex and unique, or they can be layered up with any of the other fragrances in the collection. Get your gardener wellies ready and take a stroll through Jo Malone's Herb Garden with me...

Sorrel & Lemon Thyme - A sparkling zest of lemon wakes up a bright bouquet of bigarade and petitgrain, gently exposing the herbaceous heart of sorrel, lemon thyme and rosemary. To me, this scent is very bright and fresh and has a woody base to it that grounds it and gives it longevity. This is one that helps perk you up when you're feeling groggy and that would be perfect for a pick-me-up on a warm day.

Wild Strawberry & Parsley - The peppery bite of flat-leaf parsley and tang of tomato leaves mingle with ripe blackcurrant before a delicate note of wild strawberry adds sweetness. To me, this scent is soft and sweet with a bit of an unexpected earthy twist that makes it something quite special. The green, somewhat spicy part of this scent, means that you get to experience not only the fruit, but the surrounding earth, the flowers and the foliage of the plant.

Nasturtium & Clover - Carpets of cool clover cut with peppery rocket get bright and fresh with a compliment of sparkling lemon. Nasturtium blooms at the core, entwined with jasmine petals. To me, this scent is green, bright and zesty in nature. It's clean and rounded out by a beautiful jasmine note that's sensual, yet helps to perfectly balance the peppery and lemon notes.

Carrot Blossom & Fennel - A hybrid of refinement and whimsy, the first impression of just-ripe carrot entwined with fresh fennel immediately hooks with a distinctive twist. To me, this scent is unexpectedly sweet and mossy with a delicate floral side. I love the way it has an almost licorice-twist thanks to the notes of fennel - my favorite of the bunch.

Lavender & Coriander - A garden state of mind takes over the senses when a refreshing blend of English and French lavender opens the aromatic gates with a jumpstart of striking coriander. To me, this scent is soothing and somewhat masculine in the best possible way. I also love that the base note of tonka bean gives it a sexy vanilla and cinnamon-like appeal that make it far from your ordinary lavender scent.

All are beautifully reminiscent of a day spent outdoors surrounded by fresh spring blooms, fruits, and earthy greens - but what I love most about this collection is the unexpected combinations. Each scent is unique and unlike anything else in my collection. Whether you enjoy soft and sweet scents, leafy greens, or zesty sparkling ones - you will find something in this collection to make you swoon. My personal favorites from the collection actually ended up being quite different from what I expected. The Carrot Blossom & Fennel and Nasturtium & Clover have quickly become my go-to garden inspired scents and I even love the somewhat masculine side that the Lavender & Coriander offers.

Which is your favorite from the collection?

The microcurrent conversation is certainly a trending topic right now; NY Mag even wrote an article on the subject titled "Is Running Electricity Through Your Face the New Secret to Youth?" The industry is abuzz with opinions, but whether or not you're on board with the idea, there are plenty of glowing celebrities out there who tout the facial as a "workout for your face" - and hey, if that's true - trying this out at home certainly can't hurt.  Just ask facialist to the stars, Joanna Vargas. She explains that "the mild electric current drains out excess water, tightens muscles, and tightens skin." Are you intrigued yet?

The device with the potential to give such results at-home is the Nuface mini facial toning device. The device uses microcurrent technology that has been clinically proven to improve facial contour, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - all of which are some of the greatest visible signs of aging.

The Nuface is easy to use (watch the instructional video here), and once I got the technique down pat, it became a part of my evening ritual that I looked forward to. To me it feels like a 5 minute souped-up facial massage that lifts features noticeably after just a few uses. And, after using the device for about a month now, I can honestly say it has helped improve the tone of my facial contours - giving the appearance of more defined cheekbones and taught jawline. Although it's a slight change, it's something I notice in photos which has kept me using the device religiously, and I can definitely notice a more glowing complexion thanks to the manual movements made with the device. Unfortunately, I can't speak much to wrinkles, but in terms of smoothing out fine lines - I have noticed it aids in tightening my laugh lines. I'll take it...

Would you consider trying the Nuface, or have you already?

It's not too often I fall in love with a new eyeshadow formula, which means if I devote an entire post to a new palette release you can trust that it's got to be really good. So yes, in short, I'm telling you that you need to get your hands on the Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette. If you make one eyeshadow palette purchase this season - let this be it.

I have a whole drawer filled with neutral eyeshadow palettes, but when it comes to finding a palette that has high quality, blendable purples and pinks we're talking about a much more difficult quest. This particular palette houses 12 hefty-sized pans of cool and warm toned neutrals and purples in a variety of finishes. And...*drumroll please* with this palette, I can happily say that both the texture of the mattes and shimmers are of equal (amazing) quality. Finally, a palette chock-full of smooth, easy-to-blend shadows. It's the one palette I brought with me on a recent trip - and of all the shades in the palette - I was able to use each and every one. Not a small feat for a palette I'll have you know.

Having warm undertones in my skin, I tend to lean toward warmer shades for everyday wear, but I do love cooler-toned purples for I am very happy that this one has a balance of the two. This palette is sure to give you every potential option you could want: from a soft, romantic daytime look to a smoldering eye-brightening night out look. Best of all? The buttery consistency of each powder make for an ease of application suited to even the most novice of makeup users.

It's love...and the most foolproof, perfect shadow spectrum you could possibly want for spring.
