Today I'm talking about two new fragrances (both of which I absolutely love) from Maison Francis Kurkdjian - just in time for the change of weather - and, both inspired by a specific time of day in Paris. As always, each is exquisitely unique and creates such a beautiful and lasting memory, in the same sense that the city does to each who visit it.  is polished, daring, and

The freshness of an early morning in Paris inspired the first scent; Petit Matin. To me this is the embodiment of a crisp fall morning, and what it should smell like. It's light, fresh and lingering, but clean and very distinctive. To me, it's a very green subtly sweet citrus fragrance that has an amazing softness reminiscent of soapy skin with a hint of warm musk.

Notes include: Litsea cubeba, Lemon from Calabria, Lavandin from Provence, Orange blossom, Hawthorn accord, Musk, Ambroxan.

The second fragrance in the collection, Grand Soir, was inspired by the radiance of a grand evening spent in the City of Lights. This is the dressed up, polished, and more daring scent of the two - which is exactly the kind of evening one would create wearing this in Paris. This is an oriental that leans on the sweet side without being overpowering, and has a nice bit of spice that sits well on the skin, making it more notice-me than it's morning-appropriate counterpart. I think it's beautiful, as it's one that I find gets better and better on the skin throughout wear time.

Notes include: Cistus Labdanum from Spain, Benzoin from Siam, Tonka Bean from Brazil, Vanilla and amber accord.

With both of these scents in your fragrance collection, there's nothing else you'd need for fall. Which appeals to you?
